Multifly Pose Recognition Data Set

Alice A. Robie and Kristin Branson

This is the pose recognition data set developed as part of the work "The Fly Disco: Hardware and software for optogenetics and fine-grained fly behavior analysis." For each of 7208 training examples and 2493 test examples, we labeled 21 keypoints. All data were collected of groups of 9-10 flies in the Fly Disco rig. Both the training and test data sets were intentionally enriched for difficult examples, including grooming and intense social interactions between multiple flies. Examples in the test data include metadata about which type of generalization performance they were included to measure. We have labeled a subset of test examples 3 times to estimate statistics of inter- and intra-annotator accuracy.

The data are stored in the COCO data format, with a json file and directory of png images for each division of the data set.
